P1000754.JPG
They were 2, then 4, then 20, on Howard University campus rallying, and asking all to sign on to a request for appeal and a re-trial for Troy Anthony Davis. Finally, Davis has been granted oral arguments before a 3 panel judges from the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta on December 9th at 1pm. Open to Public… here are some of the photos of that day. Some nearly got arrested for practicing their free speech on campus.

Our system owes Troy Davis another day in court

"Fish Head" Activists "Swim" up Wisconsin Avenue, Crash NOSB Meeting, Leaflet Attendees

On the afternoon of November 17th, a number of concerned activists and national consumer action organizations gathered for a press conference at the Heritage India restaurant to speak on the importance of maintaining high organic standards on seafood, in response to a conference from the USDA National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) who was holding a meeting at the Savoy Hotel just one block away. The current lame-duck administration is getting in one more dig for big business against the health and well being of the people, and is now lowering the standards for "organic" seafoods from a 100% organic diet for farmed fisheries to a less-than-standard percentage of organic feed, exposing the fish to PCBs and mercury contamination, yet still allowing them to be labeled "organic"…

The Queers Are Finally Bashing Back!

This post goes out to all of the homo-norms that claim BB! is ruining their image. It is now clear that the tactics of direct confrontation are spreading like wild fire. There is no doubt that the countless acts of property destruction in the passed week were committed by frustrated/pissed off queers. People are acting up on their own. We would rather fight than continue to support organizations and politicians that do not represent our vision of the Queerest world possible.

Bash Back! at the Inauguration in January!

Veterans Occupying National Archives Through Monday

Nov 15th Vets Occupay Archives 025.JPG"Defend Our Constitution, Arrest Bush and Cheney, War Criminals!"
UPDATE 4 p.m. Saturday: Activists plan to remain through Monday morning at least, if not longer. They lost the really big "Arrest Bush and Cheney" banner to wind but have a smaller version and still have the "We Will Not Be Silent" Banner. The Archives security chief, Mr. Adams, spoke with Elliott Adams of Veterans for Peace and offered to not press charges if they left and threatened to have arrest warrants issued for them all in 2 or 3 weeks if they did not get down immediately. The chose to stay, and Elaine Brower of Military Families Speak Out got on the PA system to announce their intention to make sure that Bush and Cheney are arrested for murder.
