Re: An injury to one is an injury to all.

This guy is a spammer.

This is not the first time he’s done it, or the only pseudonym he has used. He uses a number of pseudonyms. His style, though, is easily recognizable. He uses a *lot* of caps, a smattering of African American slang, and portrays himself as supremacist. For a little while, he pretended to be an Australian.

There are three main theories as to who he is. Some people think he’s s rude, childish, arrogant *sshole. Other people think he’s a literary character, the creation of a psy-war op at some neo-Nazi organization, who is attempting to drive a wedge between Black and white . Other people think he’s a literary character, the creation of a psy-war op at the KGB, who is trying to make neo-Nazi look like rude, childish, arrogant *ssholes.

Either way, he’s a spammer and he’s banned.

Spamming is an abuse of the newswire. For one IMC local to permit posting by someone who has abused any local newswire, not only shows disrespect for the entire Indymedia network and every single IMC volunteer, it shows egregious contempt for the very principles upon which Indymedia is based. Worse, it serves as active encouragement for every single one of the spammers, hackers and trolls who infest the network. In short, it is the giving of aid and comfort to our common enemy.

SFBay-IMC is not the only local to do this lately.

Such woeful disregard for solidarity bodes ill for Indymedia’s future. To survive as a network, local IMCs need not agree on every political nuance, or even like each other personally. But if we fail to unite in our common defense, sooner or later, Indymedia is doomed.
