Congrats for creating a new system in Baltimore. Was suprised to read that local currencies can have federal tax consequences? Liked your idea of $1-25 sliding scale for administration costs. It seems that someday all similiar local currencies would want to be interchangeable. This ultimately would be the difference between the federal reserve system and our community based system. All the people making 100 greenbacks an hour may not initially jump on board but I can image some socially conscience folks in each occupational spectrum would try it out breaking down certain -economic-social barriers that need to be broken.
