By their very ideology, racists, sexists and homophobes deny others the right to speak ( and in the case of the Nazi fuckwits in question, even to exist). To allow them a voice is to capitulate to denying a voice for many, many more. And I love it how its always the sheltered and priviledged who go on about pacifism and unconditional free speech. Nothing ever changed that way, but I suspect a lot of you pacifists are quite happy to live with a racist and unjust system, if only it was just that little bit nicer. Oh, before anyone starts spouting Ghandi at me; he rode into prominence on the back of a lot of militant strikes and uprisings by non-pacifist Indian workers. The British just focused on dealing more with him because they knew his vision of independance would be more favourable to them then what most of the workers wanted, and his tactics just resulted in unnescessary massacres of the Indian poor rather than anything that could threaten the imperialist. And after all, Ghandi was happy to recruit people to kill for the British empire back when he was in South Africa.
