Re: September 15th Rally Is Unnerving Bush-Cheney Gang
13 Sep 2007
Date Edited: 13 Sep 2007 02:13:40 PM
American-style protests are the lamest, most in-effective forms of political dissent ever devised. Bush Co knows this... and I doubt they care.
Here's what's going to happen:
1) FRIDAY EVENING: A few (hundred thousand-ish???) white people get in their cars and go to DC.
2) SATURDAY AM: Protesters walk around, being herded around by police the entire time.
3) ANSWER gives the crowd a bunch of lame-ass speeches on a range of topics: From the dangers of asparagus, to the evilness of the Iraqi occupation, to the oppressive US-supported dictatorship nobodygivesafuckistan.
4) SATURDAY PM: Crowd disperses by 5pm and hits the bars.
5) SUNDAY AM: People refuel their SUVs for the ride home.
6) MONDAY MORNING: Attendees get to feel smug and self-satisfied that they "did something" to help end the occupation of Iraq.
Let the plebes bitch, moan and march all they want. It's not like they have the courage to elect someone who can actually do something.
