Re: Rev. Billy Graham: A Prince of War Exposed

When I was young I had a need to know if Christianity (or any religion) was true. The problem was, how to measure my need. And then a thought came to me. I shall compare the rich and the famous, who claim to be faithful, to the substance of their religiousity. In other words, did the rich and famous act as if they really believed in their religion? Without exception, I found that they did not. That was good enough for me. If those who could afford the cost of research into the origin of religious beliefs didn't act as if their admitted beliefs were valid, why should I? Remember, this all took place when I was young. Seventy three years have passed and not one thing has transpired to change my mind. My conclusion: either there is no God worth trusting, or heaven shall be populated only by the rich and famous. Just as the words of one of Peter, Paul and Mary's songs state, "…if religion is a thing money can buy, the rich will live and the poor shall die". I invite everyone to use my formula to discern for themselves the truth of the matter. —jws

Re: Re: Rev. Billy Graham: A Prince of War Exposed

For ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God...
Do you think that just because Michael Vick or OJ Simpson is famous and rich that they are not going to make mistakes, or sin, just because they are rich and famous(well I know OJ isn't rich anymore)????
