imagine this situation...
A group of weird looking tough guys numbering at 5 or 6 gather across the street in visible daylight, and are carrying banners stating their hate for your neighborhood, particularly for your block, and maybe even your house specifically. They announce in full public that they have an agenda of slaughtering every human being on your block starting with YOUR family, they start passing out fliers to passerbys, some of which agree to their rrhetoric and join in on the threat. Your neighbors come out of their houses to find out what all the commotion's about, and you all look at each other, and start discussing what to do about this potential threat. There are now about 15 people talking about lynching you and your family. There are several courses of action you can take.
1. Call the cops
2. Ignore them
3. Call the neighbors over and kick their asses out of town

Would you choose number 1 if you'd soon find out that the cops would show up in riot gear and PROTECT The thugs across the street from your potential retaliation to their threats of mass murder?

Would you choose number 2 if you'd soon find out that after you ignored them they grew to numbers in the hundreds, systematically attacked you and your neighbors in the streets at night over the next few years and bullied their way into maintaining a hardcore group of about a thousand or so and started an organization that raised enough funds to buy off the mayor, the cops and the cronies, and attempted to carry out their plans of genocide?

Or would you choose number 3 if you knew that you'd kick their asses, and make them look real dumb, humiliated them, and sent them home with their tail between their legs, and force some of them to think twice before coming around your way. and when they came back, you'd kick their asses again and again, to the point where noone around would want to join their dumb group of hateful shitheads that always got their asses kicked?
