Re: Baltimore City Students to Hunger Strike for Youth Employment

It's clear that the office of Mayor of Baltimore is bowing to political and corporate pressure in it's blatant refusal to support the creation of jobs in the p2p industry. Officials see the words p2p, and "hip-hop congress" and assume it's some anarchist/communist ploy to take down the country.

P2P technology is one of the most advanced and efficient means of data transmission available today. Mainstream corporations are realizing this and are rushing to get involved. Like Napster, new technologies which are popular yet not completely legal find a way to adapt. I hope the City of Maryland will yield to the reasonable demands of the p2p coalition, and create livable income jobs for young people, while contributing to the city's status as a center of commerce and development.

I honor those kids who are willing to stand up for their right to a good job.
