Re: CHERYL SEAL REPORTS MARCH 24: Anti-propaganda Media Analysis

TRUTH: The alleged bodies of the supposedly executed U.S. soldiers are dressed in GREEN UNIFORMS. Hello!!! That is not what American soldiers are wearing in Iraq. They are wearing desert fatigues, which are different shades of tan with NO GREEN. In short, the Pentagon knew from the second that footage was aired that those bodies were not American soldiers. But it allowed the networks to push the issue to the max, wringing as much outrage as possible from the public."
I've no doubt that the pentagon is milking this for every bit of hypocritical outrage possible, but your conclusions are off-base. I've actually seen a lot of coverage showing GI's in green fatigues -- although the jumping-off point was the Kuwaiti dessert, I assume they plan on doing a lot of fighting in the Fertile Crescent, where the green is more relevent. Also, this was a supply troop that was ambushed, so they were not equipped for front-line combat.
Now speaking of ambush: If you'll forgive my clinical analysis of the scene, I suspect the gunshot wounds to the head of two of the soldiers are from a sniper attack. It makes sense in my mind that snipers were part of a guerilla-style ambush. More sense than executing two soldiers while taking the others captive.
I payed carful attention and it was Fox News (big surprise) that reported, without question, that the soldiers were executed. Other networks presented it as a possibility, which is bad enough. That really boils my blood.
