I live in NYC and there was definitely something very, very fishy going on. You have duly noted many of the strange coincidences -- but what about the fact of where Bush was on Friday afternoon? It was profoundly odd -- all the major media outlets tuned in to hear the President speak -- and then he says a couple of sentences about the blackout, and launches into a speech about the importance of NATIONAL PARKS -- knowing that all eyes would be on him at that moment because of the catastrophe, everyone in the world is tuned in to hear Bush talk about how "committed" he is to nature, which is exactly what will be sacrificed by his energy plans. It seemed so calculated and manipulative.

You haven't spoken here, either, about how the utility responsible for the blackout, FirstEnergy, is owned by a major Bush crony, Tony Alexander.

There was a very obvious sensation that media reoprting on the blackout was contrived and controlled by the White House. And it was very universal. They knew about Michigan since Thur. night but they didn't start to really talk about FirstEnergy until Sunday morning. And everything was intended to direct the public's thinking in a certain direction -- "this is no big deal, the consequences weren't that serious, it wasn't that bad, however we know now that we must do Bush's bidding re energy." Energy. . . Energy. . . Cheney. . . Bush. . .Enron. . . Secret task force. . . I knew moments after it happened that there was something big, and nefarious, afoot. It seemed so obvious. But no one in the media would talk about it until today. If there was ever any doubt that the media is already completely controlled, the blackout has removed it.
