Pat said nearly everything that needed to be said about economic policies here and internationally, and it's effects on the average working person here (downsized by departing corporations), and the average worker overseas (victimized by the arriving corporate exploiters and their accomplices in the host governments).

Her appeal to join the Green Party rings very true. If we refuse to vote for candidates and parties who perpetuate this economic travesty (and trust me, pulling a lever is easier work than one thinks), then there is hope that we may return to the days of plentiful living wage jobs (that I saw growing up in east Baltimore County), and--even better than those times--not at the expense of the people of "Third World" nations.

A speech worth repeating at future gatherings--maybe the unions can take courage from it.
