I agree with you that of all the candidates, Kuchinich represents the spirit of the classic Democrat and liberal best. And he has the voting record to prove it. Dean may prove himself to be a "classic" once in Washington - one hopes, if he is elected.
What is very sad about the state of affairs in the country is that a man like Kuchinich LITERALLY has to watch his back (even he says he would probably be a target for assassination). Instead of being seen as a classic liberal, he is seen by the rightwingnuts as "dangerous" and "extreme". Insanity! I personally would LOVE to see a Dean-Kuchinich ticket. I think the presence of Dean on the ticket would be protective for Kuchinich. And, in 8 years, Kuchinich could step into the presidency - into a country that, after 8 years of post-Bush restoration, would be ready for him.
