The fact that Clinton believed the assertion that Iraq did indeed have WMD is no answer. Clinton being wrong in no way reduces the extent to which Bush was wrong. Perhaps Clinton was taken in, but remember it was the right-wing and not Clinton that actually perpetrated the deception. It is plausible that Clinton was aware of the facts but chose to ignore them, but I've never felt that Clinton was the ideal president. He simply looked good in comparison to the GOP.
