Given that things cannot be undone, and we are all committed to Iraq (at least, the United States, your nation and hence your voice on the international platform)it seems that it is inevitable that more troops will have to be sent (given the degnerating situation in Iraq).

There does not seem to be much discussion of other pragmatic alternatives, if there are any. Do the Lefties have any real suggestions in this matter? That is, other alternatives that would not leave the country in a state of civil war?

we are at 1900, how many more must die until you say enough. you talk about civil wra? they have that already. you know we have use depleated uranium shells since the first gulf war. over 100,000 veterans have contracted cancer from the uranium. how high the price? if you noticed ,the elected officials or the rich dont send their children to war. every reason we are there is a lie.kenny rogers said it best"YOU GOT TO KNOW WHEN TO WALK AWAY,KNOW WHEN TO FOLD" Lets walk away while we still can
