Much like the Bush administration itself, it should be apparent most everyone that the UN is the only viable manager of this project. And that ain't saying much. But that is, in fact, what the Iraqis have demanded, as well. The situation in Iraq is in a quickening downward spiral. Obviously, no one can seriously suggest packing up and leaving now. Muslim clerics are developing followings and it doesn't seem like it will be too long before they all band together against US forces. They are already doing that now, as Shiite's are helping the Sunnis in a somewhat unified insurgence against US forces and this must surely be an historical alliance of two normally antagonistic groups.
