Thanks for your message. What I meant to say -- and what others we talked to said -- is that news coverage is sometimes driven by the profit motive. No revelation, of course. I actually haven't seen that much from-above direction in my news gathering experience at the Sun and elsewhere. But I'm sure it happens. I mentioned it only as one of the forces that governs
decisions. Ideology seems to be another determinant. Contrary to the conservative buzz I haven't seen much of that in a conspiratorial way
either. I would not be in favor of turning it all over to the marketplace either and I'm sure there's been too little debate on the subject.
