Fired Pizza Hut Workers Protest

A leaflet from workers fired from a Pizza Hut in Owings Mills.
Workers fired from the Pizza Hut at Reisterstown Road and Rosedale Lane in Owings Mills in Baltimore County are distributing this leaflet: "What would you do if you were fired from your job because: You refused to do customers’ dishes with cold water when a business isn’t supposed to stay open if it doesn’t have hot water? You were constructively fired and the company refused to hear what you have to say? You were fired because the manager told you to leave and later lied that you walked off? You spoke up for those fired for the above reason and you too were fired a week later? Well, that is why we are demonstrating, because we want the public to know that injustice is going on and it is racially motivated (all fired are non-white). Please help by not eating at any Pizza Hut. Thank You Very Much! For more info or how you can help, email me at owingsmillsguy-AT-aol.com"

Re: Re: Fired Pizza Hut Workers Protest

Smart thinking, eating off plastes in a fast food restaurant that were "washed" in cold water. Good for the workers, standing up for themselves AND their customers

Re: Fired Pizza Hut Workers Protest

What would I do? I'd report Pizza Hut to the Health Department, since I assume the cited requirement regarding washing dishes in hot water is law. Assuming this is true, Pizza Hut could be in serious legal trouble.

Re: Fired Pizza Hut Workers Protest

WTG! Stand strong. What you did was awesome & the right thing to do. I will support you & stay out of Pizza Hutt Hope to see you on the News!

Re: Fired Pizza Hut Workers Protest

You have my support too! No eating at Pizza Hut until I hear this has been resolved to your satisfaction.

Re: Fired Pizza Hut Workers Protest

Wonderful to see workers supporting fellow workers who have tried to protect the public.

Re: Fired Pizza Hut Workers Protest

Saw you on Sunday protesting. Great effort. I hope Pizza Hut hears your protest and changes their business tactics.

Re: Fired Pizza Hut Workers Protest

i have been going to this pizza hut for years now and i have been very pleased with both their service and food. i have also had the two girls that are out protesting a few times as my server and let me tell you they are the worst servers ever they would run around yelling and cursing in front of customers and children without a care. always playing on there phones in the corner they would ignore there tables and refused to serve customers based on there race, age because "they dont tip". if you go into the store they will let you know whats going on and why they were fired. they were fired because they were arguing with the manager the manager asked them to leave they said no so they called the police they were told to leave by the police then came back and were arrested for trespassing. and im willing to bet they are out there collecting unemployment and not looking for a job

Re: Re: Fired Pizza Hut Workers Protest

I was a regular customer of one of the girls protesting. The service has always been excellent in my opinion. You as a "customer" claim you had both girls a few times, why didn't you complain to a manager or why did you keep going back if the service was so bad. It sounds to me like you have a personal issue with these girls. Your comment has way too much information for just a "regular customer". And how are you sure they're collecting unemployment? That is they're business if they are or not. It's very easy for someone like you to judge a person in a situation like this just because it wasn't you. I think what they're doing is good. And I support them 100% and I'll never eat at pizza hut again.

Re: Fired Pizza Hut Workers Protest

i doubt there is any truth to the claims of the "workers" but if there is then i still think they should be let go for fighting with management instead of calling the heath dept as they should have. this as they claim happened a number of times yet the health dept knows nothing and has not fined pizza hut

Re: Re: Fired Pizza Hut Workers Protest

Its wrong. Your a moron for writing a comment like this. If you don't support them fine, go on with your life. And why would you wash the dishes and then complain about it. Sounds to me like your just an idiot.

Re: Fired Pizza Hut Workers Protest

I support them. I've heard stories from many different pizza hut workers at several locations that was mistreated. Customers can't see what goes on in the back, but the workers obviously know the truth. Good luck guys, keep it up!
