FOREIGN POLICY IN FOCUS SNEAK PREVIEW

"Uncovered: The War on Iraq"

Thursday, Aug. 12

10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Institute for Policy Studies
733 15th Street, NW, Suite 1020
(Corner of 15th and H Streets)
Washington, DC 20005

Followed by Q&A with former CIA official Ray McGovern and The Nation's Washington editor David Corn.

Foreign Policy In Focus will screen this new feature-length documentary at the Institute for Policy Studies. Produced and directed by Robert Greenwald, the film relies largely on the insight of former intelligence officials as it chronicles the deception used by the Bush administration in justifying and staging the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq.

"Uncovered" will open in New York, Boston & Washington on Aug. 20, and Los Angeles & San Francisco on Aug. 27. An hour-long version of this film was screened previously across the nation in people's homes at MoveOn.org house parties. Cinema Libre co-produced the new 83-minute version of the documentary. The film includes interviews with the two guest speakers.

Available for Interviews:

Ray McGovern, a member of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS), is a 27-year veteran of the CIA and other U.S. intelligence work. VIPS is a non-partisan group of retired intelligence professionals who believe that the Bush administration lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and inappropriately pressured the CIA to "cook the books" on the matter. More Disinformation from the CIA

"Uncovered" is widely regarded as propaganda on behalf of the CIA. The tactic they're using is called creating a "limited hangout".

An example of a limited hangout is informing the anti-war movement that the Bush Regime was determined to start the Iraq war, no matter what the intelligence agencies were saying. The anti-war movement hears this message from "retired" CIA analysts such as Mel Goodman and Ray McGovern. While mildly criticizing Bush these analysts represent the CIA as if it were a legitimate organization instead of a clear and present danger to the general population.

Ray McGovern is particularly smooth. From his perch on Amy Goodman's show Democracy Now, he comes off as eminently affable when he performs his public relations on behalf of the CIA. Many who describe themselves as progressive appreciate what appears to be his attack on the Bush Regime for starting the war on Iraq. Crucially, however, McGovern continually sells the fiction that there were 19 hijackers on 9/11/01, and that the events of that day were caused by "al Qaeda".

Al Qaeda is credibly established to be a proxy of the CIA and Israel's intelligence service, Mossad. In addition, the problems with the official story of 9/11 are so innumerable that it would require a very large book to print them all.

For example, shortly after 9/11/01 the FBI produced a list of hijackers responsible. About five of them turned up alive. In addition, none of the passenger lists included the names of the so-called hijackers. So, how come the FBI never revised their list of hijackers? Part of what McGovern and Mel Goodman are trying to accomplish is getting the Left to not ask this question, or have curiosity in general about the innumerable flaws of the official story of 9/11.

"Uncovered" is a limited hangout featuring intelligence agents who never retired and David Corn, whose disinformation on behalf of the official story of 9/11 is similarly reviled.

Watch "Uncovered" carefully! Those who choose to watch this are being exposed to clever propaganda from the intelligence services of the upcoming police state.
