.
This is a quick take on US and Russian actions to undermine the Republic of Georgia.

Mikhail Saakashvili, President of the Republic of Georgia.
.
Why are the US and Russia giving the Republic of Georgia a hard time?

Thar's oil in them thar hills! It is very
complicated

Mikhail Saakashvili, 36, is a strong leader and probably the closest thing Georgia will ever have to a "humanitarian" leader. The NGO's should back off or our "corporate interests" will manipulate them to get him out. He is holding the Black Sea pipeline construction up until environmental regulations are adhered to by BP, et al. For this reason our administration wants him out.

Russia wants him out because he will protect Georgian interests and not be bullied by Putin. Saakashvili doesn't really have much of a chance. Now the very groups that wanted him in will turn on him because they do not understand the transition from dictatorship to sovereignty in an oil related country.

Georgian President is Puppet of US

Mikhail Saakashvili is an agent of American corporate interests, and has created conflict in breakaway regions of his native Georgia. Saakashvili, who was educated in the west was just in US speaking with Colin Powell about "demilitarizing" the breakaway regions of Georgia. He intends to "demilitarize" by using military means; US Sepcial Forces have been training the Georgian miliary over the past couple of years.

It is obvious to the people of that region that he is using military might of the US to help him build an oil pipeline across his country. The only problem is that the pipeline would go through a separatist region that wants to be allied with Russia. Historically Georgia has been allied to Russia for more than 5 centuries. Even Russia's cruelist dictator, Stalin, was Georgian.

Saakashvili threatened Russian tourists that visited these breakaway regions near the Black Sea, claiming that they are entering a war zone. Think for yourself, do tourists enter war zones for vacations? I'm not sure Saakashvili is the "strong" "humanitarian" leader suggested by the Stout Analyst.
