What's up with NY and Chicago IMCs?

About 20 minutes ago (10/22; 10:00 p.m.) I posted this article to NYC Indymedia in their "local interest" section:

What Really Hit the South Tower?
www.media-criticism.com/911_South_Tower_Hit_11_2004.html

One of their editors got rid of it ASAP. (I don't see it; I'm logged in and my threshold is -50.) That was fast. It took Stalin's censors much longer to remove ideas from the public's eye than NYC IMC.

Then there is the continued saga of Chicago IMC:
www.chicago.indymedia.org

It has been down for a couple of weeks now. Why isn't it up?

This dovetails into my theory that if IMC collectives do not begin featuring material on some of the "heavier" issues of our time; e.g., 9-11, they all will be shut down or inoperable very soon.

Scott,

don't waste your time with NYC Indymedia. They suk technically and they also suk generally.

Their paper reads like i'm having a time machine of the 80s. Boring and the most inane activist stuff, i ever read in my whole live.

Even worse, when i talked once with them about 1 interesting article, they didn't even read them by themselves.

The funniest thing is, that i believe, that the IMC is totally observed by CointelPRO, they even sent some of them to Iraq, as Human Shields, to use them as mapping pinpoints for bombing the shit out of Iraq.

The only cool people are from the NYC Video Department and they had many fights with each other until they went, to create their own IMC.

They moved out of our building earlier this year. Probably since then, our phone was less tapped, LOL :)

IMC NYC is now kinda divided. While the website is old school, everyone is going to and posting at Portland.

I would even post local news of NYC at Portland Indymedia. They rok much more :)
