jobs for ex-cons in Baltimore

a question to the baltimore community
Does anyone know of a list of employers in Baltimore that would have no problem hiring someone with a criminal record, right out of jail? Is there another resource I could be directed to, thanks. Please respond.

I think Prisoners Aid on 25th Street has employment resources for people with felony records. www.prisonersaid.org/

Re: jobs for ex-cons in Baltimore

I don't have a direct answer, but having lived in NYC for over 30 years I had regluarly employed ex-cons that were directed to me by their parole officers. As a matter of fact there was a prettty substantial list of available people and their skills - Baltimore is no less capable than NYC - so I would say there has to be either an agency or a division within the Parole Board for Baltimore/Meryland, if not try Philly and D.C. Admittedly we now live in a much more strict society and some of those more threatening forms of employment could have been eliminated. For my money - the ex-cons were always the best employees I ever had.

Re: jobs for ex-cons in Baltimore

It has seems that quite a few of the Midtown and Downtown Partnership people - you know, those walking the city streets in yellow orred uniforms, cleaning up trash, acting as security guards, and other stuff - have criminal records. I've talked to a bunch of the due to the nature of my job, and a few of my compatriots have served their community service with them. The last one I talked to had served a five year federal sentence, so I think you may have a good chance with that.
